An initial overview report of the PGS situation in each country was prepared. This was mainly a desktop research on the specific situation in the project countries and focused on the existing national standards, as well as on potential/ incipient PGS initiatives, identification of local market initiatives, experience with organic certification. This initial research was then complemented with feasibility studies that were conducted in Ghana, Togo and STP.
