Share-Net Burundi

Established in 2014, Share-Net Burundi is the knowledge platform on Sexual and reproductive health and Rights (SRHR). With a focus on youth, its mission is to improve Burundian SRHR through open communication, knowledge-sharing, research facilitation, and advocacy geared towards healthy policy-making. SN-BU has 70 organisational members from sectors including academia, policy makers, practitioners and NGOs and 20 individual members. The platform is strong of five Communities of Practices: Adolescents and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Media in SRHR, HIV/AIDS, Menstrual Health, Family planning. Share-Net Burundi is one of the 7 national hubs that are part of Share-Net International. Since July 2020, Share-Net Burundi is hosted by Jimbere Magazine Publishers Association (ASSEMAJI) whose main project, Jimbere Magazine, is a monthly publication conceived as a media platform that is generally committed to training, educating and entertaining the youth of Burundi, with a special emphasis on the status of women.
