Cash transfer programs & public sector (LKA-0177)

This initiative seeks to explore a cash-transfer model which significant improves the efficiency, safety and security of the cash transfer processes in Mannar, Mullaitivu and Batticaloa. This model will empower women in particular, improving their ability to access cash transfers in emergency situations (as well as everyday life) which will in turn improve the local economy and financial literacy. The model will also enable greater access to digital transactions in future by improving the network of the suppliers and vendors in the villages who will allow cashless transactions and thereby improve the access to women in particular to transact safely during their everyday life.
