The Sustaining and Nurturing Rural Agro-Industrial Enterprise (SUNRISE) builds on earlier initiatives to strengthen women’s economic empowerment in Sri Lanka through social enterprise development in spices, fruits and vegetables, handlooms and coir. This phase focuses on enhancing the employment opportunities and incomes of women, strengthening value chains and addressing gender imbalances.
