This project aims to improve natural resource governance in extractives industries by engaging governments and private sector companies at the regional (SADEC) and country level's strengthening transparency and accountability mechanisms, introducing the concept of Free, Prior, Informed Consent into EI decision making, improving the participation of marginalised populations, and promoting transformative linkages with the wider economy.
