Mawengi, Mlangali and Milo Integrated Education Project (MAMMIE)

MAMMIE is a project which aims at contributing effectively to the development of quality education in 20 primary schools in the Ludewa district (Njombe region), creating conducive learning environment for about 1,000 pre-primary, 6,500 primary school pupils and their teachers. Main activities conducted in MAMMIE project are a) training for pre-primary teacher of teaching methodologies and primary teachers on English, Maths, Science and Kiswahili, Active Learning methodologies, Bloom’s Taxonomy b) training for school community on Nutrition and SWASH c) distribution of textbooks and school furniture (desks, tables, chairs and cupboards) d) construction of school buildings like classrooms, teachers offices, libraries, kitchens with canteen, latrines, water points and washing facility e) sensitization activities on Health and Sanitation, HIV/AIDS, child rights and gender equality.
