Responding to GBV needs in Borno state, NE Nigeria

The intervention is intended to contribute to women and girls' safety and healing by ensuring that women and girls can access case management services that address the physical, psychological and social consequences of GBV to prevent further harm. The intervention will also engage community members and stakeholders in order to ensure women and girls’ safety and protection from physical and sexual violence and to promote a safe and supportive environment where women and girls can freely access services without being blamed, stigmatised or socially excluded. Women and girls will participate in Economic and Social Empowerment (EA$E) activities, Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs) and Discussion Group Series (DGS) to increase their access to financial resources and control thereby reducing vulnerability to GBV and empowering them to contribute to their basic needs.
