The Kijana Wajibika is an initiative that aims at demonstrating the role of young people as the torch bearers for the implementation and monitoring of the Global Goals.
The hypothesis behind Youth Power is simple: empower young people with data, skills and networks; connect them to meaningful opportunities to participate; and they will take the lead in holding their governments to account. We believe that with this support, young people will become leaders in accountability for national and international development commitments. We are testing this approach across 5 regions of Tanzania on local to global development commitments and frameworks, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
