Horticulture: Holistic Support for Smallholder Horticulture Farmers in South Africa

The project foster an inclusive approach. Upgrading, the productivity and efficiency of these clustered farmers, will play an essential role in bringing smallholders into higher value markets. With higher productivity, increased competitiveness and adapting to market conditions, smallholders become more attractive to commercial partners in the value chain. An innovative approach is that the project facilitate increases in the quality and types of information available to smallholders that will assist the transition from informal to formal market.
