Conducive policy environment for a responsible small-scale gold mining sector in Bolivia

This project aims to create a multi-stakeholder platform to share common objectives towards transforming the small-scale gold mining sector to a more responsible production. Legal changes and policies will pave the way to a solid formalisation process and corporate responsible practices. We will use a tested framework for good governance including the following principles: broad-based partnership; a territory commitment to sustainability; good governance; an extensive programme of activities that reflect the values of the stakeholders; and a commitment to knowledge sharing, development, capacity building and networking.
