The purpose of this project is improvement of landscape function and management of the Northern Littoral Zone in Nicaragua by the region’s oil palm producers for improved resilience to climate change and extreme weather events, food security, and livelihoods. The multi-stakeholder consortium, Palma de Aceite Sostenible de Honduras (PASH), provides a forum that facilitates dialogue, innovation, the ability to influence policy, as well as leveraging human and financial resources to address sectoral transformation. PASH, with support from Solidaridad and its CSO partners, will work with producers, communities and government entities in Northern Honduras on the development of integrated and sustainable landscape management that seeks the appropriate balance between large-scale commodity production and food security and that reflects a robust socially-inclusive policy framework that promotes sustainable management and strengthens resilience to the effects of climate change.
