Improving policy design in territorial organization and land use in the soy sector in Bolivia as a means to increase sector productivity

The soy sector in Bolivia needs a re-appraisal of the limits that should be determined to agricultural expansion at the expense of forest conversion (e.g. soy expanding into the “Gran Chiquitanía” Biome). This project aims to contribute to an improved Land Use Policy and legal framework that reduces inefficiencies, distortions, inequalities and transactional costs in the distribution of land. The project will empower local organizations to work with the government to improve the implementation of the law through incremental innovations.
