  • autorenew Implementation (Status)

The Gran Chaco, second largest forest biome in Latin America after the Amazon, is an international conservation priority. An estimated 10% has been cleared in the last 5 years. This project aims to establish a platform for the Chaco where the most important players agree on a common and shared vision and action plan on how inclusive, sustainable development is achieved. Solidaridad will create and systematize critical knowledge and experiences through landscape cases and studies, and disseminate best production practices. Solidaridad will also build the capacity of stakeholders to ensure that they have the capacity to organize and participate in a Chaco Platform, develop landscape cases and develop and implement incentive frameworks for sustainable landscape development and sustainable production expansion, in order to tackle illegal deforestation and preserve forests and biodiversity.
