Akazi Keza (meaning Nice Job in Kirundi) is a programme designed to tackle (youth) unemployment in Burundi via entrepreneurship capacity building in a sustainable way. The programme has four pillars: enhancement of skills of youth to be better prepared for the job market, the capacity building of promising business start-ups, scale-up of capable existing SMEs and ensuring sustainable public-private partnerships for three agribusiness incubators. The impact of the project is to contribute to development of Burundi through increasing domestic production, job creation, fostering economic security and independence, and stimulating a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem that fosters business creation and growth.
