GLA - Just Transition - NAPE- Strengthen community cultural governance systems to reduce natural resources conflict as a result of oil and gas exploration in the boarders between Congo (Virunga community) and (lake Edward community) Albertine region

By the end of 2017 CSOs will have strengthened their knowledge about the main challenges and problems related to energy governance in as far as transboundary resources are concerned as well how the exploration impacts on community livelihoods, cultural practices, violation of minority / vulnerable community rights, the need to reduce the emissions from the source as well as understanding the challenges of fossil fuels on increasing global temperature increase especially on African continent. Strategies of how to address the challenges will be jointly developed with other players in the region complementing one another for effective engagement of duty bearers.
