The key objective of the AFJR is to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable people (including host community, IDPs and returnees) affected by conflict from Pakistan and Iran, protect their dignity and reduce their vulnerability with winter rapidly arriving in the country. The AFJR will focus on activities in the priority sectors as identified in the UN Flash Appeal, OCHA, UNHCR and IOM weekly reports and the Humanitarian Response Plan 2016 for Afghanistan. These sectors are: Food Security, Shelter & NFI and WASH. This emergency response will respond to immediate needs and gaps of selected objectives within these sectors, with a strong focus on winterization.
