IATI Identifier:
This 14 month initiative responds to demand from Malawi and will result in increased climate resilience for 20 000 vulnerable people, improved water security for jobs and growth, and will establish Malawi as a regional centre of excellence in water stewardship - defined as ‘the use of water that is socially equitable, environmentally sustainable and economically beneficial’. By driving contextually appropriate adoption and adaptation of the International Water Stewardship Standard by companies, farmers, schools, hospitals, government, development initiatives and voluntary standard systems this programme will make significant contributions to several Global Goals (2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16 and 17) in Malawi, Africa and beyond.
