There are approximately 1,500,000 people living with HIV in Kenya. The HIV prevalence among the PUD community is at 18.7%. To successfully reduced HIV incidence of PUD in Kenya there must be a focus on upholding human rights and reducing stigma and discrimination, this is key in ensuring that PUD have access to specialist health care and harm reduction services.
