Kasasiro Zaabu will improve the livelihoods of women and young people living in Kawempe, Kampala, by scaling up six early-stage plastic bottle recycling businesses. Through the project, businesses will be supported to scale up their operations through access to dedicated business loans as well as business training and mentoring. In turn, to support effective waste management, community members will be trained as waste recovery agents and educated on waste management and recycling, contributing directly to the work of the businesses through regular community-led clean-up activities.
