The main goal of CES Iringa is to increase the number of visually impaired and blind people accessing Quality eye service and mainstreaming of these services across all the Local Country Authorities contributing to reduced levels of avoidable blindness and improved, economic development and wellbeing of the region. 1. By 2013, avoidable blindness reduced to 40% as compared to 80% in 2008 2. Increased enrolment, retention and learning outcomes of children with visual impairment and blind from 38% in 2008 to 80% in 2013 3. PWDs enabled to maximize their physical and mental abilities to access regular services and opportunities and to become active contributors to the community and society at large 4. To strengthen CES Monitoring, Evaluation and Coordination to ensure learning, accountability and sustainability.
