The Goal of the project is “To ensure quality education of all visually impaired children in the project area”. The project follows the following objectives to realise the goal: • To build capacity of human resource of government, non-government agencies and parents for appropriate planning and implementation of the inclusive education programme. • To advocate to government for ensuring provision of appropriate educational, health and social benefits to VI children. • To ensure provision of early intervention services and education of visually impaired children as per their need. • To generate awareness among all stakeholders about inclusive education. • To advocate to government for support for the current model of the programme and adoption & replication of the best practices and in other places. The project activities including training and capacity building of IE human resources, developing local human resources in the field of Inclusive Education, creating awareness among people and communities on education of disabled persons, providing education support to the visually impaired children, teaching learning materials, low vision services, assistive aids & devices, organising stakeholder workshops and meetings, holding teacher-parents meetings, IEC activities etc.
