Senegal Louga Eye Care

Louga eye care was Sightsavers entry point in Senegal 5 years ago. This project specially focused on the improvement of access to eye care services in this region. In five years significant achievements have been accomplished. It almost has enabled the region to reach the TTC rate at 2000 per million recommended by WHO in order to impact on the backlog. It has also facilitated the integration of eye unit into the health system in Louga region and the ownership of the project by the community.
