The Programme goal is to contribute towards Human Resource Development in order to reduce the prevalence of Visual impairments caused by uncorrected refractive Error and Low Vision The project purpose is to develop qualified personnel that could enhance the quality of refractive errors and low vision service delivery in Zambia The Specific objective is to graduate 30 Optometrists by year 2015. Specific activities: ? Development of construction plans and bill of qualities ? Process and finalise the construction tendering process ? Construction of Hostel ? Construction of lecture theatre / classroom block ? Extension of clinic for optical workshop and consulting room ? Provision of equipment, furniture and other training requirements ? Train teaching staff ? Develop curriculum for optometry training programme ? Implementation of training Programme
