District inclusive education program aims at working in close collaboration with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan [SSA] to ensure that maximum numbers of visually impaired children are benefitted. This project is a district approach that focuses on district as a unit to better integrate with SSA.
In order to ensure education of visually impaired children, various interventions are taking place such as building capacities of government officials, parents, teachers and partner staff and direct inputs on imparting plus curriculum.
It is envisaged that government system will create an environment of inclusive education to benefit approximately 316 children with visual impairment in the project area.
