Trachoma Initiative in Africa

The Trust is working with members of the International Coalition for Trachoma Control to make significant advances towards the elimination of blinding trachoma. It aims to achieve elimination of trachoma in three countries – Kenya, Malawi and Uganda and make a significant progress towards ultimate elimination goals in Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania and Zambia. It is implementing the World Health Organization approved SAFE strategy for trachoma control to fight the disease.
