Rapid Response Fund COVID-19 preparedness and response project in Sudan and South Sudan is a multi-sector approach using FSL, Health and WASH activities to ensure communities are prepared for and can respond to COVID-19. Activities to ensure this include engagement with local community leaders, spreading messaging on COVID-19 preventative measures through social media, and other media outlets, using Community-Led Action approach to cascade information and train community mobiliser on community-led approaches on COVID-19 response and prevention action plans. Rapid market assessments, cash transfers and vouchers for livelihood assistance activities are also being conducted to help with the secondary impacts of COVID-19 on communities.
