Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) - Civil Society 2018 - 2021

The overall objective of AADK's civil society program under the Strategic Partnership Agreement with Danida is: Strengthened capacity, space and diversity of youth organisations, movement and alliances to act, influence and advocate for increased realization and accountability of the rights, standards and goals that duty bearers have agreed to and adopted, primarily the Sustainable Development Goals and Human Rights. Central to this is AADK's belief that young people have the capability and play a significant role in creating transformative change. AADK works with youth to take leadership for collective action by developing their capacity for leadership and change. AADK focuses on the nexus between development and humanitarian work and addresses the key drivers of vulnerability of youth, in particular young women. Without concrete efforts to build community resilience and social cohesion prior to a humanitarian crisis, young people’s rights and self-reliance will never be realized.
