The aim of the project is to integrate the SDG agenda with IMCC partnerships? main focus on ?health and well-being? (SDG 3), as there is a need to consider the 17 SDGs as an integrated agenda. In order to make it achievable and specific, the project will have a special focus on integrating our focus area with gender equality (SDG 5), not just within the project groups and organisations as is already being done, but more importantly amongst the target groups: adolescents in the local communities in our partner countries. The goal is to assemble 20 volunteers from our 5 East African partnerships in order to participate in a 10-day seminar. We strives towards these volunteers becoming change agents that will promote active citizens participation and mobilize youth in their local communities. In the future we wish to expand the idea of the project to include all of IMCC?s international partnerships, but for now since it is a new and unfamiliar project, we believe it is better to start out with a regional project.
