Action Against Hunger
LAFIYA - Health Resilience in North East (HeRoN)
Project Aim:
This consortium will work together to ensure that crisis-affected communities in Borno and Yobe states have meaningful access to quality primary healthcare and nutrition services in the immediate term, while also contributing to the sustained capacity of health systems strengthening at the LGA level.
Outputs:
Output 1: Primary health and nutrition services are available and accessible
Output 2: Service providers deliver quality care consistent with best practices
Output 3: People seek timely services and take informed actions to prevent new disease, and spread of existing disease including malnutrition
Output 4: Management and performance of the health system improved
Cross Cutting Outputs: People of diverse backgrounds influence how services are delivered; Social norms support women, girls and other marginalised groups to make decisions concerning their health and well-being; Health and Nutrition interventions are well coordinated within wider systems; Programmatic learning is systematically documented and used to generate best practice/evidence that impacts policy and positive change

Scaling Up Nutrition in Yobe State (SUNNY)
The SUNNY project aims to contribute towards reducing morbidity and mortality rates among Pregnant and Lactating women and children under the age of five by improving their nutritional status through early prevention, detection and treatment of malnutrition and communicable diseases and demand-driven provision of maternal and child health services within support health facilities. This project takes an integrated approach and includes WASH and nutrition and health services, including CMAM and IYCF support.
