Building Partnerships for Democracy in Tunisia
The project aims at supporting the emerging civil society in the post-revolution Tunisia by transfering experience of Slovakia and other countries in transition to democracy, process of building of a vibrant civil society and establishment of functioning mechanisms of consultation and cooperation between the state and the non-state actors.Among the activities planned there are trainings, study visits of the Tunisian CSOs in Slovakia and micro - granting scheme to support local advocacy initiatives
The overall objective of the project is to empower young local non-governmental organizations in Tunisia, strengthen their internal infrastructure and their capacities for advocacy and public policy interventions, and assist in intensification of the dialogue between the civil society and the government institutions in Tunisia.

several activities realized
In October 2012, 14 activists from organizations I Watch and OFIYYA attended a workshop in Bratislava where the took part in seminars aimed at civil advocacy, strategies of public interest promotion, communication with communities, public, media, and state institutions, as well as at public policy. Workshops for 54 civil activists from Tunisia took place in Tunis, Kairouan, Gafsa, and Houmt Souk on Djerba Island during November and December 2012. They were focused on advocacy activities, civil rights advocacy, and best practices of successful advocacy campaigns.
